I am working on this site
http://www.eversonnooksackrca.org/. When I added a maxigallery/smoothgallery to the home page all seemed well
until I took a look at the page in IE7

I used a semi-transparent png to create the right bar, and once maxigallery was added to the page, the site took about 30 seconds to load in IE7, and the transparent 1x1 px image turned into a gradient.
I found a fix via Google, make the image 2x2 px. While this does work, the page still takes a very long time to load. I have a feeling its something in the jd.gallery.js file, but I thought I would post here before I dive into it. I did not find any info in the smoothgallery forums. I did find a couple other instances of the bug mentioned on Google, but in relation to different scripts.
If anyone has run across this before, or has any advice on whether I should focus on the jd.gallery.js, or possibly on the mootools files, or maybe even the css, it would be greatly appreciated. Last note, when I remove all of the content from the right bar, it seems to solve the loading problem. I am at a complete loss here :-( !
Take a look in FF and IE7(or the screenshot) and let me know what you think.
