Hi,
I’ve only started with MODx recently, and it’s proving to be great stuff! However, I’m experiencing one problem I cannot seem to fix: I have my complete website now built into MODx. The one thing I want to add is an image gallery: square thumbnails in the header (5 or 6 with arrows right and left to scroll between them), and when a thumbnail is clicked, a larger image in the main content box.
I’ve searched extensively, and I’ve gathered that MaxiGallery would be the best (most flexible) solution. I’ve installed it exactly as explained on the WIKI, but I seem to have run into a CSS conflict between my original CSS stylesheet and a CSS sheet called by MaxiGallery (default.css or colorbox.css - which is also called, from the plugins\qm folder - most likely). The effect is that pressing the ’manage pictures’ button results in the file management menu falling across the web page, and it’s buttons not working. (the black and blue is the original web page, the grey buttons and text running through it is MaxiGallery).
when I change my own CSS file in the page for MaxiGallery’s default.css, the upload program works, but the page looks totally different.
By now I’m quite confused digging into the css, java, modx, etc. code, and have no idea where it’s going wrong.
Is there anyone who recognizes this problem, and can help me out? I keep thinking to myself: it cannot be this complicated, I’m overlooking something.
I wanted to include a screenshot, but somehow the insert image button only gives me img /img code.
To make it clear: I don’t necessarily want to use MaxiGallery, I just want a row of thumbnails embedded in my page at the top, and the larger image also embedded in my page at the center. If you can help me there, that would be great!
