Okay, got the SMF board installed, got the bridge installed, and I’m wading through that smf_readme document. I have no problem with the top part, but the rest of it could use more explanation. Please be gentle, I’ve never used forum software as an admin before, so maybe that’s part of my lack of understanding. Also, it’s often unclear WHICH ap I’m supposed to be "configuring".

    Default group
Enter the name of an SMF user group that you would like newly registered users to join.
I assume that this is an SMF user group? Or is it a ModX Group? Do I have to create a group for this? or is there one already?

    Default login time
This is the default duration that the system will allow for a user to be logged into the forum.
    Minutes, I assume?

    Login page
Enter the document id of the web user login page.
Just checking-- I assume that since this is a doc id it’s modx. Oh, and I’ve never made one, so I assume I have to make one? How?

    Logout page
Enter the document id of the web user logout or login page. Defaults to login page setting.
    Same question as login page.

    Registration page
Enter the document id of the web user registration page.
Again, is this a ModX page I have to create?

    Hide forms
Select “Yes” to have the module disable forum login and registration forms. All login and registration request will be forwarded to the Content Manager.
You’ve lost me completely on this one.

    When deleting
Use this option to instruct the module as to the type of action to take when a web user is being deleted from the Content Manager. Defaults to “Leave SMF account”
    Here too. Need more information.

    Thanks for your help!

Umm, I’ve got this partway done and I’m having problems with other areas of the ModX interface. For instance I created a couple web users and there is no way to add them to any web user group, the box is empty. And I’m getting an error--

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: smf_registermember() in /home/mywebsite/public_html/main/manager/includes/document.parser.class.inc.php(667) : eval()’d code on line 123
