How to set max width on Slimbox gallery?

I have a few galleries setup using MaxiGallery, and called using:



When I click a thumbnail and the larger image loads into slimbox (or in a normal gallery) it is too wide for my content area. This results in the image running off the page, and overtop of my sidebar.

Where do I change these options so that my images width will be 500px, for example.

Usually these scripts will present the gallery function that floats the images on top of the browser window page. The positioning will depend on the user screen size.

Have you resized your full sized images or are you having the script do it for you?

Usually users will just hit the close button on the gallery if they want to navigate to other sections of the site so I am not sure if you really have a problem or not?

The image floats on top of the browser in a blacked-out window, but my photo size is just too large.
I was hoping to have MaxiGallery resize the image output for me.

I am sure others will chime in.

I always size my own images first. I set my horizontal image width to a bigger dimension than the height of my vertical images. This way I can make better use of the screen real estate with having users scrolling to see the full image or have part of the image hidden somehow.

I have tried using scripts to size "gallery size" images but I still like using a real image editor to custom crop, size, add borders, and sharpen etc.

Is your site live so we could see the issue in question?

The picture resizing is done on upload. So re-upload your images and they should be 500px in width and height at maximum.

The site is still in development, and luckily has less than 100 photos in the collection...of 22,000 that I still have left to add!
I’ll re-up the images tomorrow.

I hope that the pictures are spread to several separate galleries, or you’ll run into problems..
