As for the current css i have going there, ignore it for now, the scroll bars you saw aren’t there anymore, I am in the process of some testing and designing while at my day job, so it’s not thoroughly done at all.

I just got the new domain markojokic.com and building it as my new professional site, but at the same time using it as a testing ground for possible "cheaper" price websites for other artists until it is officially launched.
I am trying to dumb down the features of maxigallery for the basic needs of possible artist clients that need the absolute simplest methods for front end editting.... additionally the ability to change the order of the images by dragging them around is a big plus for more creative/non-tech people. but it is ultimately inferior to modx and has a pretty crappy backend.
Originally I had settled on using "galleria gallery" which works great on it’s own, but I have had no luck at all getting the one from the modx repository to work. I don’t know if it’s supposed to work solo or in conjunction with maxigallery. I really like maxigallery’s front end manage button and following interface. If anyone has advice on how to make galleria gallery work with modx and even maxigallery, I would like to hear it. What I have seen is almost no documentation about it.
