Setting up and maintaining a links library in MODx

I’m currently converting my website to MODx. It’s going pretty smoothly, but I need some advice about something. My current site has a fairly extensive collection of links, I’m looking for a way to set up a links library in MODx. Ideally, it should support categories and subcategories, and users should be able to suggest links to be added (which first need to be approved by me). A Yahoo-style library would be nice.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to best accomplish this? Would any of the standard snippets work for this, or does anyone know of some freeware PHP script out there that would do the trick?

one of the best for me is cplinks but i think it’s possible to do the same with snippets like NewsEditer and NewsManager and newslisting in modx
