How to use Mootols 1.4.2 for Smoothgallery?

I’m using MaxiGallery 0.6 beta on Evolution 1.0.2. The Maxigallery is setup to display a slideshow (instead of an actual gallery) using Smoothgallery code. This works fine with the included (in Maxigallery) Mootools library (version 1.11).

Additionally, I’m using the DirectResize plugin. Here, I have chosen the Slimbox configuration, wich also makes use of an included Mootools library. The included version is 1.2.1.

If I have only one of these to elements on a page, all works great. But I want to have the slideshow on each page, and there is the problem.

MaxiGallery only works with its "own" Mootools library, and DirectResize only works with its version. I’m only loading one of the two libraries.

I don’t know why MaxiGallery/Smoothgallery does not work with the later version included with DirectResize. I also already tried to load the current version 1.2.4 (Core and most of More as suggested by JonDesign), but then, neither Smoothgallery now Directresize work properly.

Is it a major problem, or am I just missing the right idea?

Try updating the smoothgallery in maxigallery to a later version. I think I haven’t modified it, so you should be able to just replace it with the new files. Hopefully more recent smoothgallery uses newer version of mootools.
