Moving Manage Pictures Button

I have 2 questions but both dealing with the same topic..

1. How do I have a "Manage Pictures" button in the manager when a page is created?

2. On the actual page, a Jquery script is pushing the button out of view.. is there a way I can have a Manage Pictures button seperate from its [!MaxiGallery!]? I ask because the whole [!MaxiGallery!] is in the div thats targeted by javascript.. anything I can do move "Manage Pictures" out of that div?

1. MaxiGallery is a front-end gallery management script; you would need a custom module to deal with this in the Manager.

2. By default, the Manage pictures button is in a div with an ID of "mgbutton". You could use CSS to position this div with position:absolute; or have your javascript do so.

Or you could have your javascript work with the MaxiGallery container elements (such as the <div class="thumbscontainer">) instead of your own div that encloses the entire MaxiGallery snippet call.

Take a look at the default "galleryOuterTpl" template (see the location from wiki article if you can’t find it). The manage pictures button is defined there. You can do a custom maxigallery template to define it the way you want.

You can also implement the disable manager hack that is linked in the sticky topic and then you could have two maxigallery calls in the same document. First call would just output the thumbnails with manager disabled and another call would print out just the manage pictures button, eg. do custom galleryOuterTpl to both calls.
