Max Width and Height Question

How does maxigallery handle the issue of max width and height?

I have specified this in my maxigallery call:
[!MaxiGallery? &pictureTpl=`mgPicture` &quality_pic=`100` &max_pic_size=`510x350` &display=`pictureview`!]

and because I find Maxigallery params don’t always get passed properly, I changed this line in maxigallery.php:
$mgconfig[’max_pic_size’] = (isset($max_pic_size)) ? $max_pic_size : "510x350"; //

in hopes that by specifying both a max height and max width, the picture will not exceed the maximum value of Either.

The results however are that:

a picture that is uploaded at 396 width x 469 height is displayed at that same dimension.
a picture that is uploaded at 500 width x 592 height is displayed at 295 width x 350 height.

Is something wrong with my code? It seems like only when One of the Dimensions exceeds Both height and width limits is the picture resized to the specified height and width...

Any help would be appreciated

There can be bugs in that kind of picture resizing (when you define widht x height).. I’m not sure exactly how it is supposed to work, I integrated that code from user post long time ago..

I would suggest to use maxigallery to only store and manage the pictures and then use phpThumb in maxigallery templates to create the various sizes of the pictures.. it’s much better at that.
