Help a confused new user?

I installed Maxigallery and am trying to get it working, but it looks terrible. Like, really really bad.

I just did an install of Maxigallery and haven’t edited any config files yet. Is this really how it’s supposed to look out of the box?

I’ve played with it some more and it doesn’t look quite so bad, but I’m still having some problems:

When I change the embedtype to lightboxv2 it just opens the image. The same is true for slimbox.
When I select smoothgallery it just doesn’t display anything.

Any tips?

They don’t work because you already have jquery on your pages.. Actually, the gallery page seems to have jquery and two different versions of mootools.. so no suprise it isn’t working, you are getting javascript collisions.

Try to implement Thickbox embed type for example, it uses jquery. MaxiGallery wiki page has instructions on how to do it.
