Maxi Gallery with child galleries

Hi all

I would like to sort in a main gallery sub galleries by year. in each of the year galleries are several other galleries. However somehow the ultimate parent gallery displays all the sub gallery. Is there a way this can be changed that only on image of each yearly gallerie is displayed?

Didn’t fully understand what you mean.. but you can list the documents with ditto or wayfinder or what ever and use maxigallery call in ditto / wayfinder template to get a picture from the gallery.

I try to explain better

I have a container called gallery

in there I have containers called by year ie 2006, 2007 ect. each of this containers contains several child galleries of the appropriate year.

Now I would like to display in the main container only one image of each year container as an overview.

Look at the query examples in maxigallery wiki page, for example:

[!MaxiGallery? &gal_query_ids=`67` &query_level_limit=`5` &order_by=`random` &limit=`1`!]

Above call would get 1 random picture from galleries under document id 67 (5 levels deep).
