MaxiGallery - Positioning Issues - Please help?

Hi All

I am new to Modx and also MaxiGallery.

I have just created www.cottagebreak.com in Modx. I have installed MaxiGallery on the home page and the four pictures look great on the homepage.

But if you visit http://www.cottagebreak.com/gallery.html, which will be my main gallery, the pictures are at the bottom of my page.

Please help as I would like two pictures to a row and also to be at the top of the page. I have entered the MaxiGallery Call into the content section of the site.

Appreciate your help and advice to resolve this.

You have couple problems..

1. There are two <pre> tags wrapping maxigallery call, remove those and the pictures should be positioned at the top of your #content element

2. The pictures are too wide for the element that they are in. #content element should be atleast 566px wide for the pictures to fit in two columns. So you probably want to make the pictures littlebit smaller. Remember to re-upload the images after you change picture sizes.

Having looked into it I have not added the <pre> tag, so not sure how to remove.

also the picture size, do you mean the original picture needs to be smaller and not the thumb nail size?

Disable the rich text editor if you have it in use.. select None as the editor and you should see the code..

I mean the thumbnail size in your snippet call.. but you must re-upload the images after you change the size in your snippet call, because MaxiGallery does picture re-sizing operations on upload.

FWIW some of the copy looks very SEO over optimised, but it is a personal optinion

On the Home page: when I click on the gallery thumbnails the images open at the top but are the sam size as the thumbnails? The bottom blue are seems to change into a black color when the gallery script is activated?

Some more work to be done I guess. I was using Safari 4 to view the site.
