    Greetings,

I’m new to Modx and am impressed. I’m using maxigallery for simple galleries with the code from the maxigallery wiki for showing thumbs & one full size image on a page. Whenever I add titles & descriptions and "save changes", all the form fields clear and the titles do not save. The code is the same as the wiki demo, except I had to make the Chmod MODx MaxiGallery fix change to maxigallery.php. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Larry

Have you made any custom picture management side templates? Custom templates for the picture viewing side doesn’t effect the management side, so your setup shouldn’t cause any problems in the picture management.

I don’t know what’s "Chmod MODx MaxiGallery fix change to maxigallery.php", but if you are not using v0.6 test version, try that.

Nope. Everything is set exactly like it is in the tutorial: http://wiki.modxcms.com/index.php/MaxiGallery#Picture_and_thumbnails_on_same_page

The link to the chmod fix: http://www.katrinayoungman.com/2008/03/chmod-modx-maxigallery-fix/ though I don’t think it has anything to do with my current problem.

Try to use v0.6 test version without any changes.

            Hi all,

I encounter the same problem than utilitygrade following the tutorial (with version 0.5.2 on Evolution). In fact, the two MaxiGallery calls (one for thumbnails, one for big image) make appear two management zone. The conflict seems to be here because if you delete the big image call, it works perfectly.

            I didn’t finished my work but here’s where I am now :
            in place of call :
            [!MaxiGallery? &pictureTpl=`mgPicture` &display=`pictureview`!]

            put :
            <img id="maxImage" src="" alt="" />
            <p id="maxTitle"></p>
            <p id="maxDescr"></p>

then if you click on one thumbnail, the big image will appear. Thern, you just have to emulate a click on the first thumbnail via javascript to have a non empty zone...

I will test it with version 0.6 as soon as possible

Oh yes.. If you have more than one call on a page, you must use &manage_target and &is_target parameters to make the picture management on a separate document or use the "disable manager" hack.
