Best way to show the first pic from a MaxiGallery on a diff. page?

Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone could help me find the best way to do this:
I want to show the first image of a gallery on the parent page...

I want the first gallery image to be the thumbnail on the Projects page. Right now they are two separate images. Is there a way to retrieve the gallery image?

Anyways, there are multiple ways to do it, for example:

&view_gallery=`docidhere` &limit=`1`
&gal_query_ids=`docidhere` &limit=`1`
Use childgallery display mode.
Etc..

Then you probably want to make custom &galleryPictureTpl for that call too that redirects to the gallery document from the thumbnail. Eg. make the link from thumbnail be <a href="[~[+maxigallery.picture.gal_id+]~]">.....</a>

Sorry, I thought it had already been answered/was simple enough that others would not have this question.

Anyway, basically ended up with what you suggested there.
