Web admin users and manage target

For some reason when using a different document to upload images doesn’t work if you are signed in as the gallery admin but if logged into the manager it works. I get a blank screen and no matter how simple the maxigallery call is, it will not show the manage image form etc. Why will it work for the manager and not an allocated web user admin?

What are the snippet calls?

You need to have the &manager_webusers or &admin_webusers parameter in the call that you are using to manage the gallery.

On my page where I want the gallery to appear I have...

[!MaxiGallery? &manage_target=`42` &admin_webusers=`[[galleryowner]]` &galleryPictureTpl=`ImageTpl` &pics_per_page=`1` &pics_per_row=`1` &max_pic_size=`250x300` &max_thumb_size=`250x300` &quality_big=`100` &quality_pic=`100` &quality_thumb=`100` &max_pic_number=`1` !]

and on the gallery edit page (id 42)

If I am the manager and click I see the form for uploading as I should, but sign in as a web user in another browser I see the manage image button, I click it and it takes me to the gallery edit page. All that appears is the image that was uploaded when signed in as the manager... here is the source from the browser.




as you can see... it only shows the image and not the form etc. But if signed in as the manager it works as it should so there must be some sort of permissions issue? The doc where I edit the gallery has been made public and private and neither made a difference to the web user.

&admin_webusers parameter shows only the pictures that the current user has uploaded. &manager_webusers can see all pictures in the gallery. Does that galleryowner snippet return the same user id on both documents, eg. in the gallery document and in the picture management document (ID 42).

the snippet returns the webuser name who created the document... sorry I forgot to add that part. The document is created by a webuser and the snippet returns the full name of that person so the gallery belongs to them. The manage image button appears as it should but like I said, the manage gallery page only shows the single image that is there and no admin features.

I just re-read your post... the gallery edit page is created by the admin so the galleryowner snippet is no use with the new target edit page! My bad, sorry!

I just re-read your post... the gallery edit page is created by the admin so the galleryowner snippet is no use with the new target edit page! My bad, sorry! I just made another snippet to reflect the sign in users name on the edit target page so it works now.
