MaxiGallery not attaching the js and css files

Hi, I’m trying to get a maxi gallery working on my site but it only displays the default maxiGallery. It won’t attach any of the css or js files needed for it to work. I currently have a js dropdown menu that uses mootools, and I’m wondering if that’s the problem? I read that if you have conflicting js libraries the gallery won’t work, but I think slimbox uses mootools too and it still won’t work, and I’ve read through the forums quite a bit but can’t find anything that helps.

Hmm.. could you list your document ID’s and the snippet calls in them. Because that id 20 document doesn’t seem to have the snippet call you pasted, because it’s not reading any parameters. It’s the default output that comes from [!MaxiGallery!] call.

Well you have uploaded the pictures to the gallery in document id 20.. and that’s why they are showing with the normal display type.

You need to upload the pictures to the document with id 21, eg this one, if so that they show up correctly.

After you have uploaded pictures to the document with id 21, the gallery will show up in id 20 if the id 21 is it’s child.

this might sound stupid, but how do i upload the pictures to doc id 21 when the ’Manage Pictures’ button shows up on doc id 20? do i need to add the pictures in the backend via the manager?

The manage pictures button should be visible in doc id 21 if you have the above call in it.

The manage pictures button in doc id 20 uploads pictures to that document.

and if there isn’t a ’manage pictures’ button in doc id 21? I tried setting up a new gallery but I get the same results.

I read that someone else had a similar problem, and they fixed it by changing the Maxigallery call...but i’ve looked at the call and I don’t see anything wrong with it...any ideas?

You have a number of seriously malformed HTML comments in the code (and some other errors as well). Those could be causing trouble.

hmm, I took care of the messy code on my end, looks like MaxiGallery’s default code doesn’t validate. Still no button on the second page. Just turns my code from this: into this:

any ideas? I keep messing with it but nothing is working! Any help is VERY appreciated!

I’m baffled. Usually, when you see the MG call itself, it means TinyMCE has entified the brackets but I see no evidence of that.

Try turning off Rich Text for the page (21), saving it, and then retyping the opening few characters of the snippet call.
