Publishing house website

Hello members,

I am new to modx. I have this client job, which I would like to accomplish using modx and need ALL THE HELP I CAN GET in accomplishing the same.

A friend of mine tried to help me out in doing this with textpattern, but I am personally inclined to do this project with modx as I am sure it is better suited for the job and I want to learn just one CMS (MODx).

The project is explained as under:

The home page needs to show 3 items
1. Latest article published from MAG 1 (from Magazines and Publication)
2. Latest article published (from Events Section)
3. Latest article published (from Content Special Section)

This is al posible using MODx but please go tru the docs first, setup MODX including the demo site (select this on install) the go tru this site to see how MODx works. Ask you friend to do the same maybe togetter that way you can discover MODx togetter and learn togetter the when you both can not figger out some things that are not already handled here in the forums or is not stated in the documents than ask you specific question here. we will be glad to help you out.

What we do not do is build complete websites for you or any one else here, we have our own clients and work to take care of and we like to put our time we have for the forums to specific modx related questions.

Good luck building your site I like to see it when your done or maybe half way.

Sure in MODx every type of stucture you like is posible. If this is he structure your client wants it to be than go for it
