Disable translucent page background when opening thumb

Hi,

I hope you can help me with this:

I’m using &embedtype=`slimbox` and when clicking on a thumbnail, the image is enlarged and displayed as usual: the rest of the page shows a semi-transparent background around in the image. What I’m trying to do is disable this translucent background. So far I managed to change the background color at slimbox.css, but I couldn’t find any settings that disable the transparency. What I need is to disable it completely, meaning that if the background is white, then all the page should have a solid white background.

Any help will be appreciated.

slimbox.css is the correct place to disable it. Just take the "background-color" line out of the #lbOverlay. Or if you want that the text can be selected from the page while the slimox is open, take everything out from the #lbOverlay.

Thanks for the tip. Surely the transparency dissappears when commenting the line "background-color", and the rest of the page displays normally. Perhaps I didn’t explain myself properly, what I need is to have a "background-color: white;" with the transparency effect disabled so the rest of the page becomes totally solid white. Do you think this is possible?

You can do a solid white overlay picture to slimbox and set the overlayOpacity value to 1.0

Thanks for the hint. This worked: on slimbox.js at line 102 I changed this:

this.fx.overlay.start(0.8 );

to this:
this.fx.overlay.start(1);

That (along with background-color: White;) created the solid white effect I was looking for.

Did you try to simply change the overlayOpacity setting? it’s in the slimbox object config parameters..

I can’t find that setting. I also searched for all files containing the text overlayOpacity but nothing showed up. In which file is located this setting?

Oh, crap.. sorry. I was looking at the latest version of slimbox. That config parameter is not in the version that MaxiGallery uses. In any case, good that you got it resolved!
