I made a folder and 2 pages in it, set all 3 page setting Cacheable NO.
In the folder document content i entered "[!MaxiGallery? &display=`childgalleries`!]" no rich text editor activated, so the code it is not deformed, in the children pages "[!MaxiGallery? &display=`embedded` &embedtype=`slimbox` &pics_per_row=`3` &max_thumb_size=`110` &max_pic_size=`0` &thumb_use_dropshadow=`1`!]" again no rich text editor
i created the snippet, copyed the code from the text file and uploaded the files to the asset folder, but the button its no there.
i’m using safari, but i checked in firefox and ie - i read in the forum that sometimes its not displaying because of the browser.
the maxigallery is 052 and modx 096
Go to the document that has this call:
[!MaxiGallery? &display=`embedded` &embedtype=`slimbox` &pics_per_row=`3` &max_thumb_size=`110` &max_pic_size=`0` &thumb_use_dropshadow=`1`!]
Look at the HTML source of the rendered page and check if there are slimbox js and css files included to the <head> element. If there are not, MaxiGallery isn’t running at all.. if there is but management button is not visible, there’s some permisson issue going on.

The manage button will only appear if you are logged in as a manager for example.
I fond that the easiest way to manage your galleries is to login into the manager, open the galleries container and right click on one of the children.
Choose "Preview Document". A new page containing the new document will appear.
If you are using Firefox look for javascript errors in case all the above doesn’t work.
Yes, by default manage pictures button is visible only to manager users that are logged in to back end and have rights to edit the document.
If you want that webusers have rights to edit the gallery, you can define webusers and/or webgroups in the snippet call. The parameters are explained in MaxiGallery wiki page.
Javascript errors wont have effect to the manage pictures button. It should be visible in any case.

Hi, new to these forums but read plenty,
My problem is that the "manage" button shows even when I am not logged in at all.
I have the snippet call as follows:
[!MaxiGallery? &display=`embedded` &embedtype=`slimbox` &max_pic_size=`700x550` &max_thumb_size=`200` &disable_js_libs=`1` &manager_webusers=`marko` !]
maxigallery is the most recent download up there.
i am on modx 1.0

Sounds like the page is cached; it got generated and cached when you were logged in, and now you’re getting the cached version.
I emptied the cache.
I made the page uncacheable. no difference either.
Any other ideas?

And you’re not also logged in to the Manager?
Yep, that was it. I was logged into the manager.
But.....
I was logged into the manager via Firefox and checking the front end through Chrome.
Is it because I was logged into manager from the same IP (computer)?
or does this mean that while I am logged into the manager, anybody going to my site will have access to the "manage" button from anywhere?

Are you absolutely sure it went like that?
The user logged status is stored in sessions (and cookies if you set it to remember login) and sessions aren’t even shared between separate Firefox windows..
If you pm me login details, I can check to see if there’s anything wrong.
