MaxiGallery doesn't parse the ourer template correctly

I moved my site from one hosting provider to another, and now when I add MaxiGallery to my page, I get part of the template tag at the top of the gallery:

[+maxigallery.embedtype:is=`smoothgallery`:then=`

It was showing the closing tags too, but I somehow managed to make them go away. I am just using the default templates. Anyone know how to fix this?
