Maxigallery removes transparency from both GIFs and PNGs upon upload.

I found an old thread about 120 days old w/ the same question posed and with very little as far as a solution. If someone is aware of a fix for this i’d be very grateful. I’ve already tried the upload then over write via FTP and that doesn’t seem to change anything. If it matters, i’m using the Smoothgallery embedding option, no arrows, timed delay.

Yes, MaxiGallery does remove transparency on upload.

Then only way to go around this is to make maxigallery to save the original uploaded images (with keep_big_img parameter and max_big_size=`0`, read about the parameters in wiki) and then use phpThumb to create thumbnails and resized images.. phpThumb can handle transparency afaik.
