&smoothgallery_showInfopane=`true` -> description is not showing

Hi all,

I entered title and description for the images after using param &smoothgallery_showInfopane=`true`
The title is show for each image but I wonder where I have to look for the description. I open the images but I can’t see the description.
Am I missing something?

 [!MaxiGallery? &display=`embedded` &embedtype=`popup` &pics_per_row=`5` &pics_per_page=`25` &max_thumb_size=`110` &max_pic_size=`800` &thumb_use_dropshadow=`0` &smoothgallery_showInfopane=`true` &view_gallery =`101`!]

Does the param &smoothgallery_showInfopane=`true` need an extra parameter to work?

No.. picture description should be under the title in the smoothgallery info pane..

Do you have link to the site?

Look at the rendered document HTML source and see are the picture descriptions there in correct place for the smoothgallery. If they are, look are there any javascript errors.. if you have used some certain characters in picture descriptions they can break the js code..

I looked into the html of the window with the enlarged picture and this is what I get:

Umm.. where’s the smoothgallery? That link opened a document that used popup embed type..

Ahan, maybe that’s the problem.
Now I get it!
I thought it was just another MaxiGallery parameter I could use. I found the parameter at the MaxiGallery wiki

I still can’t get this working. I understand now that the SmoothGallery parameter was a bad choice as I wasn’t using SmoothGallery in the first place.
When I click a thumbnail, a new window opens with the large image but I can’t see the image description. The url in the new window does not show a path to an image but it’s a real html page so there is room to display the description. When I view the source of that new window containing the image it does not show anything about the description. Only the tags to display the enlarged image are shown.

I can see the image title in the gallery overview with all the thumbnails and I guess it is normal not to see the description here but only when the thumbnails is opened.

I tried fiddling with the templates like picturetpl and outergallerytpl and so on. Can someone tell me which template is used in the window where the image is enlarged after you clicked a thumbnail to open it?

The popup embed type is done with javascript. The full html source for the popup window is written via js.

But what you could do is something like this: http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php?topic=12745.0

So the popup would open normal modx document with maxigallery in it in pictureview. Then you can do custom templates to that and make it anyway you like.
