&display=`pictureview` won't load intial image?

I have a setup of image and thumbnails on the same page. the image call is:

and the thumbs call is:


The problem is that when the page loads the large image space is blank until I click a thumbnail and I want it to load the first image in the gallery instead of nothing.

I saw in the wiki 2 parmeters &pictureview_start_pos and &pictureview_start_id which I think suppose to do just what I want if I understand correctly?
Is there anything in my calls that conflict maybe?

using the 0.6 test version on 0.9.6.3

have you checked the instructions in maxigallery wiki page? they don’t use pictureview display type.. but I think that should work too.. so that’s why I’d like to check it myself to see what’s going on.

I followed the instructions under ’Picture and thumbnails on same page’ and it does mention &display=`pictureview` for the large image.

I now see that I’m missing the &limit=`1` from my image call. even when added the first image isn’t loading.

could you pm me manager access so I could take a closer look.

You didn’t have &gal_query_ids parameter used in the snippet call for the picture view.. so that’s why it didn’t retrieve any pictures.

There is a problem though when you have thumbnail paging enabled. It will now always get the first picture on that gallery, not the first picture from the thumbnail page. If you want to achieve that, you need to do a javascript that gets the first image in place on document load.
