I’ve searched the forum but couldn’t find anything on this. I’m looking to have users uploading images using the Modx/MaxiGallery interface but with the images being stored elsewhere. Has anyone been successful in linking the MaxiGallery to external Amazon S3 storage (or another storage solution)? I don’t want to sign up and then discover it’s not possible. If anyone had a guide on how to link up it would be very much appreciated!
You would need to modify maxigallery to upload the files to Amazon S3 and then link to those files in templates (if they can be hotlinked).
It will require some amount of coding work and knowledge about php and how to use Amazon S3 php api. Not a simple click and play task.
