MaxiGallery snippet call is not being parsed in child galleries

In the parent gallery (id=2), where I have the snippet call:

[!MaxiGallery? &display=`childgalleries`!]

On a child page (id=18), I have the snippet call:

[!MaxiGallery? &display=`embedded` &embedtype=`slimbox` &pics_per_row=`5` &max_thumb_size=`100` &max_pic_size=`0` &thumb_use_dropshadow=`0`!]

I see a Manage Pictures button on the parent (id=2) gallery page, and the entire snippet call unparsed on the child gallery (id=18) page. Although, it is doing some parsing, because the [! has been changed to [[. I originally had the snippet call that is on the child gallery on the parent gallery page, but I moved it because the client now wants multiple galleries.

Any suggestions?

Look at the document source with editor set to none to check that the snippet call isn’t malformed somehow..
