Displaying empty childgalleries

Hi everybody !

I’m using more and more the excellent snippet maxigallery... but I didn’t found how to display an access to a childgallery when it’s empty.

I wish to have an empty (white ?) thumb to access it from the page with


I read the documentation... and didn’t found anything like, for exemple :

Have I miss anything ?

Empty galleries are not listed, because no gallery exists yet. MaxiGallery goes through its db table and lists all the documents that have pictures on them.. how would maxigallery know if a document is a gallery document or not?

You need to use Wayfinder or Ditto instead to list the documents. You can use MaxiGallery in Wayfinder’s or Ditto’s template to retrieve picture(s) from the gallery.

I thought that the snippet looked in the childpages to find any childgallery... but no ! It’s in its database.
