Two sets of image thumbnails in Maxigallery?

I would like to have a Maxigallery with two sets of images:

- 1 set that shows thumbnails with dimension A (width) and B (height)
- 1 set that shows thubmnails with another set of dimensions X (width) and height (Y)

* I tried to use CSS to resize the images, but it stretches out too much because the dimensions are wrong.

* I tried to use CSS to align the ’set 2’ images with the ’set 1’ images, but then there is too much whitespace

* I tried to use PhpThumb (this worked very well actually) but my client is ’not happy’ (sigh) that some parts of the picture get cut off (unfortunately I cannot make use of ImageMagick on server or I could have prioritized which part would get cropped).



So now I was wondering if it is possible to somehow give a particular (set of) thumbnail(s) their own separate widths and heights.

You need to create the galleries on separate documents and then query the galleries in a single document with two maxigallery calls.

Hm, to think in the end it was so simple...

well, at least I learned some things in the process
