I have a site where I use MaxiGallery to show pictures in the header of the pages. Now my client wants a gallery on a certain page. If I add photos to it they will also show up in the header because it also fetches the child galleries.
How can I stop MaxiGallery to show childgalleries or to hide just one gallery?

With &childgalleries_ids parameter you can define that under what document the childgalleries are retrieved from. &childgalleries_level_limit parameter can be used to set how many levels deep the childgalleries is searched for.. etc. etc. See available parameters from modx wiki.
You can totally control what images are retrieved to what call. Normally a gallery only shows images from a single gallery and galleries are bound to modx documents.
