Parameters in snippet call has no effect

Hi

Not sure if this is the right thread but im having some problems with the lightbox in maxigallery

Basically i have a page showing say 4 images (thumbs) and when i click on the thumb for a bigger view it loads to another page rather than pop up on the screen etc. when it loads in another page it has previous next and index.

my call i have in the document is

[!MaxiGallery? &display=`embedded` &embedtype=`lightboxv2` &pics_per_row=`4` &max_thumb_size=`155` &max_pic_size=`0` !]

Any help would be good.

Hi there! I also have almost the same problem and it makes me crazy! The gallery works. I can upload images and it shows. BUT it show in some default mode. I can’t set the tumb size, no dropshadow shows and the original images shows in the same window, no popup.

- I have installed MaxiGallery.
- Made the snippet
- I have a page that is a container that calls for childgalleries

[!MaxiGallery? &display=`childgalleries`!]

- Finally I’m calling for the snippet in a gallery page

[[MaxiGallery? &display=`embedded` &embedtype=`slimbox` &pics_per_row=`4` &max_thumb_size=`75` &max_pic_size=`400` &thumb_use_dropshadow=`1`]

I guess that for most of you guys this is a small problem. But for me, who is a graphic designer with small programming skills this is a BIG problem. I really, really would appreciate if someone have a solution for this...

The drop shadows and image resizing is done on upload, so you need to re-upload the images if you change these parameters.

The reason why lightbox / slimbox is not working is probably because of a js conflict. E.g. you already have some js library (mootools, jquery, prototype..) included on the page by some other resource and you need to use a lightbox script in maxigallery that uses the same js library. lightboxv2 embed type uses prototype + scriptaculous, slimbox uses mootools, and you can implement thickbox for jquery with the instructions on maxigallery wiki page.

Unfortunatley I’m an total idiot when it comes to programming. What I have done now is that I made a chunk and put the code on the Wiki site there.

Is this right so far?

But then I don’t understand what I’m gonna do. Here is what it says:

"Add jQuery and ThickBox files to the <head> of your site template and call maxigallery with that custom galleryPictureTpl. "

What am I gonna do with this?

So.. first of all.. do you have something that uses jQuery already on your page that made you choose thickbox?

Adding of thickbox files means that you download the thickbox package from their site (http://jquery.com/demo/thickbox/), then do the things that are said in the "How to Implement ThickBox" part.

Thank’s for your patience!

I have the default installation of Modx and then just added MaxiGallery. So I don’t understand where the conflict would be? But hey, there’s a lot I don’t understand about this as you’ve seen...

I have tried to upload my images again but there is no change. The dropshadow and thumb size isn’t working.

Make sure that you are using the same document for uploading the pictures where the snippet call is and make sure that the snippet call is uncached or the document is set to not cacheable.

Ok, now I have read a lot in the forums and learn some (I hope). I got it to work now. I have skipped the Childgallery and showing the thumbs directly on the page. It works very good, really an excellent tool!!! But I have one more issue.

In the upload gallery window the thumbs get a border, controlled by my a:link css. But in the gallery page it doesn’t show, why is that? How can I make it work so I can use the hover function on the thumbs.
