Moved from php4 to php5 server, MaxiGallery doesn't upload but tells me it did!

    I’m moving the site of a client from a php4/mysql4 to a php5/mysql5 server and now MaxiGallery stopped to work!

    I use MaxiGallery with the ManagerManager plugin so that I can manage the gallery from the backend and it looks like it works. Except when I upload a image it tells me that it did upload it successfully, but the image is never uploaded!

    I tried to use the debug option, but that one doesn’t give me much:

    Debug >> 338 - //if user is allowed to modify and has entered admin mode
|--- Action: gallery_synch
|--- From_id:
|--- Gal_id:
|--- max_pic_number: 0
|--- display: normal
|--- embedtype: normal


    How can I get more information about what’s going wrong?

      Are you using just the gallery synch feature, or have you tried normal uploads?

      Do the uploads work without managermanager?

        I tried normal uploads, when I check the galleries directory nothing get’s added. Did try it in the front with this call:

        [!MaxiGallery? &max_pic_size=`1000` &thumb_use_dropshadow=`0` &debug=`1`!]


        And it says "Pictures uploaded successfully." after uploading a image, but the image doesn’t appear. Directories have the right CHMOD rights.
        I also checked the server logs and there is nothing mentioned that can locate a error.

        I did also try to upload the files onto the ftp server and then synchronize is, but that doesn’t give me error’s too! And of course no images sad

        The server is running the Suhosin Patch, can that be the cause of trouble?

          Don’t know anything about Suhosin.. But I guess it has some logs where you can see if it has blocked something.

          This all sounds very strange, I don’t have a clue what could be wrong.

          What you could try is to use MaxiGallery’s php functions to upload the images. See maxigallery wiki page and all the parameters that have "ftp" in them.

          EDIT: By a quick look at Suhosin, I see that there’s at least some things to control file uploads:

          http://www.hardened-php.net/suhosin/configuration.html#suhosin.upload.max_uploads

          Do you have any of those enabled? and/or can you disable Suhosin temporarily to see if that’s the problem?

            I think the server is protected to good, I tried to upload a image with the image manager from tinymce and that does give me a error. So I will contact the hoster to see how we can get it working
