maxigallery does not show thumbnails?

hi,

i have a problem with maxigallery. when i use it everythig works except maxigallery does not show the thumbnail that it creates. the gallery itself works fine.

it seems that maxigallery tries to chmod the new thumbnail files to 0666 but for some reason all the THUMBnails are still in 0600 mode. If i change it manually via ftp everything works. But as i have to get this feature working for other people who does not know how to use ftp this is obligatory for me.

so how to get maxigallery chmod commands working properly?

any ideas?
