I was wondering if it’s possible to create extra fields that can be filled out for uploaded images. Is there a way to add more fields like the title and description ones? I would find it useful if I can do this with out too much hacking.

Yes, the v0.6 test version supports custom fields. Look at the sticky thread.

OOO I missed that one!
I read the thread and tried it but doesn’t seem to work with what I tried.
I have maxigallery 0.5.2 installed and in my call I put &customFields=`price` in my MG call and in my managepictureTpl file I put the following under the title and desc codes.
[+maxigallery.strings.price+]:

<textarea name="[+maxigallery.fieldnames.price+]" rows="8" cols="40" onKeyDown="document.editform.[+maxigallery.fieldnames.modified+].value='yes'">[+maxigallery.picture.price:htmlent+]</textarea>

The box shows up in the manager but the value is not being stored in the database, nor is the field being created in the DB.
Any other things I’m missing?
You need to have the v0.6 test version for the custom fields to work.
My SVN account is broken at the moment though, so you cannot download it from there. I’ll try to get it resolved with the service provider.

Ok no probs... Even if you could zip up a fairly stable release with the customFields support on here that would be great?

I just tested the update with another site that I used MG on and it’s throwing up an error with a mootools javascript that worked fine before I changed MG.
Any idea what could cause the issue between .5.2 and the .6 versions?
The error is

The reason I’m using &gal_query_ids=`[+id+]` is because the gallery is within a ditto call. Anyway, if you have any ideas what it could be that would be great.
You are using &disable_js_libs=`1` parameter what means that maxigallery will not put mootools or other libraries automatically to the source.
So you need to provide mootools to the source by your self. What version of mootools are you using? is it the same that is in smoothgallery folder? SmoothGallery won’t probably work with newer mootools..
