Gallery works, but sub page shows code instead of gallery

Hey folks,

I am relatively new to ModX but am a convert - I can’t believe I have been using shitty CMS apps all this time without having found ModX.

Just installed maxigallery. The gallery works, I can upload images, but only to the main gallery page. https://www.bondirescuelifeguards.com/gallery.html

I want to have a bunch of sub gallery pages and following the instructions have added the line "[[MaxiGallery? &display=`embedded` &embedtype=`slimbox` &pics_per_row=`3` &max_thumb_size=`110` &max_pic_size=`0` &thumb_use_dropshadow=`1`]]" on the page https://www.bondirescuelifeguards.com/hoppo

But instead of upload buttons, I see the actual raw code...it is like modx isn’t interpreting it properly.

Am I missing something in the way I have to set it up?

Did you copy and paste the snippet call from somewhere? If so edit the page and turn off the TinyMce Richtext editor (or use the html button in TinyMCE) Chances are that the brackets are something like [ and ] and the & may look like & Change those to their proper characters and you should be ok.

Yes, had already done that.

Looking at source code I see:

Would the urlencoded ampersands be causing it? They are fin on the page looking at the raw HTML.

Turing off Rich Text was the trick
