watermarking : never works for me

hi,

I’m now focusing on the text watermarking parameter.

I have to admit I never look this forward, but I’m not able to make this happen.

I tried many examples found everywhere, but unsuccessfully til now.

here’s a call I’m expecting from it to write on every standard pic displayed a basic text chain.
....but nothing happens
I don’t need thumbs watermarking just normal images

What’s the hell is wrong ?

Maybe the GD library in your environment doesn’t provide functions needed for watermarking.. Have you tried in any other environment?

All sites are mostly at OVH.com
- I’ll give a try on my personal test (a free hosting service with many stuff supported)

But as all other functionalities looks ok (shadows and so on) it’s quit strange
DirectResize is also working great on such servers.

What MaxiGallery version are you using?

What are your environment details?

The watermarking needs at least PHP 4 >= 4.3.2 or PHP 5 with GD 2.0.1 or later (2.0.28 or later is recommended).

Sorry I left this thread away..

I found.. there’s actually no pb, but there’s a pb too

The fact is if a gallery is ALREADY done (all pix uploaded, title or description done etc) then if you wanan ADD or, most of all, CHANGE a watermark.....well noway.

MG act only at the upload og picture, so as I finalize its call AFTER I made the first gallery, that why there was no watermak.

This is very annoying. Is there anyway to touch the thumbnail or pic AFTER the gallery is done without having to rebuild it from scratch

No, not by default. Sorry.

What you can do is to use MaxiGallery just to upload the pictures and then use phx:phpThumb modifier in MaxiGallery templates to resize the pictures and do watermarking etc other filterings. phpThumb caches the generated images and if you change the phpThumb parameters, it automatically re-generates the images to reflect the new changes.
