One Page Catagories

Hello,

I am trying to use MaxiGallery to power a photo club results system, but the one problem I am having is I can’t think of an easy way to group pictures without making additional pages.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can group results? I need to accomplish something like this:
Color - Class A
(pictures)
Color - Class B
(pictures)
Monochrome - Class A
.....

Ideally this needs to be something somewhat simple to accomplish as my end goal is to let the members upload their own pictures and label them, but at this point in time I just need something functional so I can get this site online.

Creating own documents for each different type would be best.. then query the pictures from the separate galleries to a single document.

But if you really want everything to a single gallery, you could do a custom field to your gallery that holds the "label" for each picture, then sort the gallery display by that custom field. If you will have many pictures in a gallery, you will run in to problems if you are not using paging and user rights to manage pictures. For these reasons, I would suggest to use paging in the thumbnail view and user rights in picture management so that users will see only the pictures uploaded by them self. The management side does not have paging implemented.

The end result is I need to have all the pictures on one page with like an H3 title separating the the different groups. There would likely be say 150 picture max per page.

The method of getting these pictures added isn’t a huge issue, but they need to be on one page from the viewer perspective and open to the lightbox view. What would you suggest as the best/easiest method to setup as I am still new to MaxiGallery. Calls would be helpful.
