Is it possible to use Maxigallery to create sites like:
chasejarvis.com
I really like the large image with rollovers of the thumbnails - but dislike flash.
I haven’t seen any clear examples of this. Thanks for your help!
You mean the thumbnails on the right side where you can select a photo from a list of thumbnails? That is possible with the newest version of MaxiGallery (the 0.6 you can get on the forum), you have to use the smoothgallery option for that!

Yea,
smoothgallery is kind of similar and by using an external carousel (the part that shows the thumbnails) you can inject it to any element you like.
But it all depends what you really want, your question was pretty vague. For example you can "easily" do a view with maxigallery where the picture and thumbnails are shown on the same page and the picture is changed onclick or onmouseover or whatever. And you can add effects with jquery by your self.
But as said, this kind of view is not "built-in" to maxigallery (other than the smoothgallery, but not with external carousel), so you need to do custom templates to maxigallery. It needs little work and knowledge of javascript.

I don’t know what that has to do with your issue... but in anycase, phpThumb can be used in MaxiGallery via phx:phpThumb modifier. Just make MaxiGallery save normal sized image, or do a rough resizing, and use phx:phpThumb modifier in MaxiGallery templates for the fine tuning.
