I’m new to MaxiGallery and attempting to use it with Lightbox v2, I wondered if it is possible to hide the title and description on the thumbnail gallery view but still have it displayed in the Lightbox window? Sorry if this is an obvious question, I’ve yet to familiarise myself with how template’s work in MaxiGallery.

Yes, do a custom galleryPictureTpl based on the original one (info for paths and parameters in MaxiGallery wiki) and take the thumbnail title placeholder off from the bottom. The lightbox gets the title / description from the title attribute of the link, so it will still show them.
