I have created a quick rough image. This is the look im trying to achieve. Imagine the attached image but then say 8 of these in a single page (document) all with customer names (not Gallery 1 - cool

How could I achieve this? I know we can do child Galleries, but (and ive not tested it yet) I can only imagine all this does is create a link to take a person to a different page to then view those images.

I think I could manage this with the Highslide snippet, but the problem then is that I lose the front end upload ability, as well as being able to set names and descriptions for images (perhaps not to well documented sad ) Also the background is not faded (something else I need to look at on MaxiGallery as its way too dark) so it looks as though its replaced the site in a sense.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am completely stumped on this one.

    Many thanks.

Can’t you just use Ditto? i.e. each client gallery = separate modx doc, in a special folder. Use a custom chunk for the listing [[Ditto? &parents=`myContainerID` &tpl=`clientsPortfolio` ...]]

        Erm,

Thing is would each listed document then open from the one page, or would a user be taken to that page for them then to have to click the image again for it to be enlarged?

Also, i hate saying this as I look stupid, I havent got a clue how to use Ditto. Last time I tried to use it, I couldnt style it or nothing and it simply comes across as too ackward (however flexible and useful) to use on a day to day basis.

Maybe someone, can put me straight on this one though smiley

List each "customer project" document with Ditto and use MaxiGallery in Ditto’s template to show the galleries (with &view_gallery=`[+id+]` &manage_target=`[+id+]` parameters). You can upload the pictures to the galleries on the individual documents or from the single document where Ditto is run. The galleries are shown in the Ditto’s list, users won’t have to view the documents separately.
