Can Maxigallery create sub-galleries? I searched in the forums, but found no answer.
I want the user to be able to create sub galleries and manage them.
Each maxigallery is bound to one document and documents can be in a hierarchy of unlimited levels in MODx. So yes, maxigallery can create subgalleries.
How did you search for this info? The demo for maxigallery on how to create your first galley (in modx wiki) uses childgallery display type.. I think you should have found that with very little searching..

I saw this post and it seemed most similar to my problem. I followed the install guide and got a single gallery going, but the problem is when I point my browser to the document under the container, it does nothing, but when I point to the container, it works. So the problem is that my sub-galleries aren’t working.
I need to have a landing page where I can show a gallery of sub-galleries. ie. a thumbnail of the first image in each sub-gallery on the landing page.
Is this possible?
is there any post or page you could direct me to perhaps with some example code? unless the default directions are it, but I followed that and I have the problem I listed above.

how can i use in gallery (container) list of subgalleries and list of images in current gallery both?
If you want to list all childgalleries and all their pictures, you can use the childgallery display type and then create a custom childgallerytpl what contains another maxigallery call to list all the pictures from that gallery.
