Help with MaxiGallery and FF on PC and Mac and repositioning infopane

Two problems.  One, the images do not show in FF 3.0.3 on the Mac and PC.  I get the loading bar but no images.  If I look at the page source I see the images.

Second,  I tried to reposition the SlideInfoZone below the images following this post at JonDesign’s forum.

It works in Safari on the Mac but not IE7 on the PC.  It does work in IE6.

You have this in your site template:

<base href="http://diademinc-client.com/flashmodx/"></base>

But all images seem to point to:

/flashmodx/assets/galleries/64/20081006_2862.JPG

So perhaps your base href should be just:

<base href="http://diademinc-client.com/"></base>

Or something else is configured oddly in your site urls / paths..

I changed the site url and it didn’t make a difference.

Do you have an example page? the above url still shows same base href.

Sure,  I just changed it.  I made the site_url http://diademinc-client.com.  Note /flashmodx is a subdomain.  I hope I got that right.  I have several other websites under diademinc-client.com.

I don’t know why it would be correct in Safari and IE but wrong in FF.

Hmm.. I’m not sure what’s causing this.

Any other suggestion to both FF and moving the Infopane? If I can’t get this working my only other option at this point is coding it in flash. And flash is what I’m trying to get away from.

I would start from a blank page and using a normal smoothgallery displaytype (without any custom modifications) first. Get that running fine for all browsers. Then start doing modifications and see where it brakes. It could be now simply that something in your site template css collides with smoothgallery and that’s why the pictures aren’t showing up. Or something..

I’ve installed the latest version of Modx and MaxiGallery.  Smoothgallery is working in Safari and FF on the Mac and IE 6 and IE7 on the PC but FF on the PC still does not work.  The images appear in the thumbnails and the click to zoom but still do not display in the big carousel.  I’m using the latest version of FF on the PC, version 3.0.3.  Here is a link:

I see that the thumbnail has "background-image url(http://diademinc-client.com/testgallery/... whereas the
main image has "background-image: url(/testgallery/... It does not include http://diademinc-client.com.

I think this may be the problem in FF. Don’t know how to correct it or why its not a problem in the other browsers that I’ve tested.

Anyone?
