Fatal Error

    I have installed maxigallery according to the instructions but when I try to upload an image I am presented with an error:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function ImageCreateFromJPEG() in /var/www/fruitfulthoughts/assets/snippets/maxigallery/watermark/Thumbnail.class.php on line 183


    I haven’t set any parameters in my call for watermarking at all.

    I did a search and it seems someone on the French boards had the same problem, but I can’t read French and google’s translator didn’t help.

    If it makes any difference this is running my local home server using Ubuntu and PHP Version 5.2.4-2ubuntu5.3

      It seems that your PHP installation does not have GD library enabled. Open up php.ini, search for GD and enable it. It’s probably just in comments. Restart apache after modifications.

        After much digging around I found the answer

        sudo apt-get install php5-gd

        sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 restart

        code above just incase anyone else encounters the same problem.
