problem with MaxiGallery

I installed MaxiGallery as instructed. I can see the "Manage Gallery" button, but when I click on it nothing happens. Any suggestions?

Did you call MaxiGallery uncached [!...!]?

No, I used [[...]] instead of [!...!]. Should I have used the other?
