Parse error

I dont have access to run command lines unless there is something I am missing however I have another site using this script with the same line ending as this one.

And web user permissions I am also a little lost on, not sure how that ca chnage things I have only the admin account right now but if you mean file permissions then the gallery is set to 777 and all other and just as per default on FTP.

I have deleted this script and uploaded it again in case something was currupt during ftp but still same error.

Why cant problems be simple

Could you not copy the script from the other site to this one, just to test, sorry if you’ve already done this. I don’t think this is a perms error, you are opening and trying to parse the php file so you’ve got that far. However you can simply compare the perms on this site to the one that works to check this. How are you including this file? From a plugin/snippet from within MODx?

All I have done is uploaded the latest Maxigallery script to the server created a snippet from the .txt file then added my container folder and the 1st gallery document with the required snippet calls and this is the output.

I tried taking the document.parser.class.inc.php file from the working site and uploaded it to the problem site but no luck.

The permissions are set to 644 I made them 777 but this also made no difference.

I reuploaded Maxigallery in the hope something had gone wrong in the ftp process but still no go.

I then downloaded the Maxigallery script from the working site and reuploaded to the problem one still no luck.

I then changed the snippet call I little still same error. the only difference is the working site is useing 0.9.6.1.p2 and problem one is using 0.9.6.2

Everything looks correct but I have to limited knowedge of php to work out how to resolve the issue but if I find the problem will post back.

This error is saying that when MODx document parser tried to parse some snippet code (with eval()) it encountered an unexpected string on line 2 of that snippet.

So, there’s a problem in one of the snippets running on that document on the snippet code line 2, it may be MaxiGallery or some other snippet. Unexpected string could mean that there are quotes in wrong place or something. If it’s MaxiGallery snippet that’s causing this, you have probably copied wrong content to the snippet.

OK yep must have been a copy and paste error I made on the snippet itself, I re-pasted in the snippett and now all works fine as far as it asking me to upload pictures, I ahve another upload timeout error but I have experimented with so many bits I am sure that once I have a play with it all will work.
