Hello, I have been using Shadowbox JS for about a year and I think it’s simply the best lightbox out there... It can use any form of media pretty much but I was wondering how I can seamlessly join it up with MG. I know MG only supports images which is fine as that’s all I will be using it for but I like the admin features of MG so could someone help me with this? I already have an extremely bad hack going to use it with MG but I would like to make it how it’s meant to work... I would be happy with the very basics such as being able to have the rel as rel="shadowbox" instead of lightbox and being able to disable other libraries. Even if someone can tell me how to change the rel type that would be great. I have tried everything I know and it’s not working.

I’m sure there’s a few users of MG would like to use this instead of lightbox or slimbox.

That is a great media player. I have not looked at it’s markup, but I am sure that you could simply edit the MaxiGallery template files and use any library you want. MG uses PHx in the template files which makes it great for adding logic and customizing.

Yeah I do like both of these... it would be great to merge the 2 some how. Hopefully it will be part of a future release or mod...
You only need to do custom &galleryPictureTpl and put rel="shadowbox" instead of the rel="ligthbox" of the default template. You can also remove the parts from the default template that you do not need.. (eg. the popup type, smoothgallery, etc..).
WIth &disable_js_libs=`1` snippet parameter you can disable the other js libraries and provide your own in your site template.

That’s exactly what I done... Only took me a few days to figure that one out though hahaha!
