I was wondering if there is a feature to allow editing each image individually. We will have a very large gallery and the plan would be to add an ’edit’ button next to each image to allow individual editing. Anyone know if this is possible?
Hmm.. maybe..
If you use the &pic_query_ids parameter to query just one single picture, you can only manage that..
So in the call the shows the image, you’d need to have another maxigallery call on it’s template that would be something like:
[!MaxiGallery? &pic_query_ids=`[+maxigallery.picture.id+]` &galleryOuterTpl=`@CODE:[+maxigallery.managebutton+]`!]
That call would show a manage pictures button there where it’s added on the page and from clicking it, it would manage just the single picture.
I’m not sure if that works, but try it out..

That is what I have in mind. But that is not MaxiGallery, correct? I already have the gallery setup in MG, just need to work out the management issues.
Its maxigallery, only editing the one picture is made without maxigallery
Just tried that what I posted above and it does not work.. I was able to get the manage pictures button beside each picture, but the logic behind it just doesn’t work like that, it will just manage the whole gallery from every button.
So you need to find another way to do it, I’d suggest to take a look at Bruno’s snippet.
