max_thumb_size not working?

Hi,

I have this call:

[!MaxiGallery? &display=`embedded` &embedtype=`slimbox` &pics_per_row=`3` &max_thumb_size=`100x130` &max_pic_size=`900x450` &thumb_use_dropshadow=`1` &lang=`es` &pic_use_watermark=`1` &pic_watermark_type=`image` !]

As you can see I specified the max_thumb_size to `100x130` but after I upload the images, the thumbs exceed the specified size (for instance: some are resized to 116 × 118).

Is there anything I might be missing to make the max_thumb_size work?

Your help will be appreciated.

You probably know this but the &max_ parameters only affect the upload process. If you change or add them, you need to clear the site cache and your browser cache, and *then* upload the pics.

If that’s not the problem, try making those parameters a single number which will specify the largest possible dimension (e.g. &max_thumb_size=`130`) and see it that works.

I followed your suggestion, this is what I did:

- I deleted the picture from the gallery
- I specified max_thumb_size=`100`
- I cleared the site cache
- I cleared the browser’s cache, and then I closed the browser
- I renamed the picture to avoid cache problems
- I opened the browser and uploaded the picture again (the renamed picture)

Unfortunately the thumb size is 113x116.

I don’t know what can be wrong.

Do you have some filters enabled? eg. drop shadows? they are added to the image once the image is resized first..

You were right, it was the &thumb_use_dropshadow=`1` filter that was adding the extra pixels.
