[SOLVED] Clicking "Manage Pictures" gives URL NOT FOUND

This is a strange error. I don’t know where to begin - I can access the button just fine in my office, but the client lives in another state. When they try to access the "manage pictures" button they get the URL NOT FOUND error page. Any clue as to what would cause this?

Did you recently move the site? Could there be a path to an old server someplace?

I wondered about that, but no it hasn’t been moved - just modxified. I looked at all the settings and they seem to be good, but I was actually doing that at the moment. I’ll keep looking.

Look at the url displayed when you hover over the "manage pictures" button and have your client do the same. That might give you some clues.

Yeah, I thought of that already, but nothing shows up whether it’s working or not.

If it’s a javascript thing, your client’s browser may be harboring a cached version of the javascript, complete with outdated URLs. I’ve had that happen a couple of times.

Yep, tried that too! 

What’s weird also is that the TinyMCE toolbar is below the content instead of above!?!? Weird stuff.

EDIT: I just added custom settings in the user tab and TinyMCE is now working fine, but the Manage Pictures button is still not working. Anything else I should be looking for or trying?

OK, I found something that may be a problem, but not sure how to fix it. In the source I find that the url is like this:


~clientbox was from the development server why is MG showing that? In the Configuration settings it’s:

/home/clientbox/public_html/

Where is the tilde coming from? Shouldn’t it be:

MaxiGallery is building that address (and most of the adresses that the snippet uses) by using:

$modx->config[’base_url’] . MAXIGALLERY_PATH . ’slimbox/js/mootools.js’;

So the $modx->config[’base_url’] seems to be giving wrong url in your environment. The variable is "autocalculated" in /manager/includes/config.inc.php and might be giving wrong url.. you could try to set it in the file manually, if that’s the problem.

I already fixed that... So, with or without the ~ it’s still not working on their end. I’ve tried everything that I can think of without success. I strongly believe it is something on their end, but cannot put my finger on it. I’ve had them clear their cache, use a different machine, browser and connection, but still doesn’t work. Any other ideas?
