    Dear Members,

I have a folder called "Articles" which contains articles (i.e. documents) and sub-folders (i.e. categories) which in turn contain more articles...

    My sitemap is as under...
    ------------------------------------
    Artilces (folder)
    Theory (folder)
    Theory article 1 (document)
    Theory article 2 (document)
    ...
    Business (folder)
    Business article 1 (document)
    Business article 2 (document)
    ...
    Uncategorised article 1 (document)
    Uncategorised article 2 (document)
    ...
    ------------------------------------

    Requirements
    -----------
    1) I would like to have commenting on each document of the Articles folder and all its sub folder.
    2) Store all comments in a common folder called "Comments" under Site Root.
    3) The commenting system needs to be like the one at www.alistapart.com.

Hope I have been able to explain my requirement well.

Look forward to all your suggestions. Thank you all for your time and effort.

    Warm regards,

    -raavi

P.S. Sorry for the loooooong post smiley

Use Replix snippet and TV with @inherit binding to get the same snippet call automatically on all documents under certain folder. (actually, don’t, look nr. 3 first)

Use &folder parameter in Replix call to define the folder id where comment’s will be stored.

Do you mean that by clicking a link in the article, it goes to another page where the comments are for that article with pagination?
        Make the TV in nr. 1 to build a link to some document and pass the documentID in the url (or have it in the template what articles use) (<a href="comments.html?docid=[*id*]">Comments</a>. In the receiving document, have a snippet that get’s the documentID from url parameter ($docid = $_GET[’docid’];) and then runs replix by setting the id to replix &docid parameter to enable "remote comment displays" e.g. $mox->runSnippet(’Replix’,array("docid" => $docid, "parameter2" => "value2"...));
