Ajax Upload of Images

Hi,

Would it be possible to use MaxiGallery for Ajax uploading of files (say using something like FancyUpload)? So far on my site I have documents which web users can edit using FDM, and this includes a single image upload using FancyUpload. The users get a thumbnail preview of the image once it’s uploaded (using Ajax), but it only really attached to the document upon saving of the FDM form (which is non-Ajax, and includes no file transfer).

I would like this sort of functionality for editing a gallery: Upload images, sort them into the correct order maybe, but it is all only truly saved when the main FDM (or whatever) form is submitted (using non-Ajax). This means that they get nice estimated time remaining for the possibly long image upload via Ajax, but then the final submission has no file transfer, so is quick. Plus the users get the opportunity to upload, but then cancel easily if they want to simply by leaving the page (well... I would have a nice "cancel" link).

I been wanting this functionality for some time think i am going to work on it latter tonight, installing fancy upload for and upload the images to the gallery folder then instead of it then posting the upload again will get it to use the sync directory option ill let you know how i get on but would love an official version this.

If someone tries it out, post your results in the forums and I’ll try include it to MaxiGallery itself.. This feature is not so high in my own priority list, so I encourage you to try it your self.
