IMPORTANT: Testing for next version (v0.6)

It will be a totally new resource, written from scratch..

I envision that it will consist of multiple snippets to do stuff, eg. a snippet to simply upload files, other snippet to query uploaded files, etc. etc. All the display types for example will be kind of "plugins" to the snippet that does the rendering or something.. Don’t know yet, haven’t really planned it yet.

But it should be able to use it for any kind of content in my opinion. For example list images, videos and podcasts and display all them in a thickbox or something that supports all types.. or simply list the files in a table available for download with a counter..

I will try to build it so that I can first offer just basic functionality and implement additional stuff later in more manageable manner.

With revolution supporting installable packages, I can package all this up so that you could select what kind of gallery you like and it would make a working installation right away, so you wouldn’t even notice that it actually consist of many different snippets.

Does someone have the v0.6 test version? If you do have it, could you upload it to this thread.

I think its from first post. But you should compare with your backups to be sure.

Yeap, I checked it against one backup and there was few files changed. The manageoutertpl was changed from default and couple smaller changes in the templates, few of which I kept. And russian lang file added, thanks for that

I notice that the slimbox distribution is the same, even though the newest Mootools version (1.52?) of slimbox is available . There is also now a version 2.0 written in jquery. I have upgraded to the latest Mootools version of slimbox to take advantage of the loop feature and also to have access to the entire range of settings (transition times,etc), though the transition style (bounce, etc) doesn’t seem to work. For some reason the MG slimbox distribution is modified in such as way that not all options seem to be available.  Anyway, what I am wondering is, why are there so many MG-query params defined for smoothgallery and none for other galleries?

Looking forward to testing 0.6 out tro see if it fixes my resynch issues.

I have a working version of MaxiGallery 0.5.2. I downloaded the zip file at the top of this thread for version 0.6, installed it, and I get nothing for any maxigallery call using this version. I went ahead and installed it on a fresh ModX installation and the same. Perhaps the code here is old and there is a newer version, but the link on the wiki pointing to the latest development source is essentially broken, and there’s nothing in the code itself that seems to indicate what the version number is. I can’t find any references to my problem (the see nothing problem). I am not even sure how to ask for help with this.
